Monsters, Inc Logo – Pixar
What a brilliant logo the Monsters, Inc one is. Simple and clever, it’s just another example of the level of detail and consideration that goes into Pixar’s work. Great to hear that Pixar are making a prequel that will be out next year!
American Werewolf in London – Olly Moss
Olly Moss is a genius at re-imagining classic film posters. This one is a great example, a combination of a simple idea and the graphic mastery to carry it out.
V for Vendetta Mask – David Lloyd / Alan Moore
The weird, creepiness of this mask has an air of Guy Fawkes about it, but with a more sinister edge. The mask has become adopted by anti-tyranny groups and movements such as Occupy.
Squirm Poster – Drew Struzan
I remember this poster scaring the hell out of me from an old video shop window I used to pass as a child, and the image has stayed with me ever since. The great Drew Struzan’s work has illuminated the covers of an unbelievable amount of iconic films including Indiana Jones, Back to the Future and Star Wars.
The Cramps, Off the Bone – Graham Humphreys
This compilation album from 1983 by the garage rock freaks featured cover art by renowned illustrator Graham Humphreys. The original vinyl LP is in 3D complete with red/green glasses. Amongst his other great work there are notables such as the Nightmare on Elm Street, Evil Dead and Phenomena posters.
Faust Poster – Richard Ronald Holst
This beautiful poster for a production of the classic German story was designed in 1918. I think this is one of the best art nouveau posters I have seen and would love to have an original.
Nosferatu Poster- David Palladini
Another wonderful art nouveau poster, this one not produced in the period, but for the 1979 remake of the the classic German horror. David’s other work includes beautifully illustrated tarot sets and book cover art for Stephen King and Jane Yolen.
Suspiria Set Design – Giuseppe Bassan / Dario Argento
The sets and cinematography of this surreal Italian horror entangle the senses in a twisting web of colour, noise suspense and terror that unnerves the viewer. Working together on most of Argento’s most revered movies, the production design Suspiria fuses the work of artist MC Escher with German Expressionism and the work of fellow set designer Hermann Warm.
Sisters of Mercy Logo – Andrew Eldritch
Along with the Nine Inch Nails logo this is probably the most iconic image in gothic rock. Intentionally evoking religious symbolism, it was designed by the frontman himself. The pentagram combined with a simplified anatomical illustration create a powerful statement of the bands personality.
HP Lovecraft Covers – John Holmes
These unsettling images adorned the covers of legendary horror writers book in a series of reissues in the 1970s. John Holmes also illustrated other celebrated works, but his most famous image is probably Germaine Greer’s The Female Eunech.

Hoxton Street Monster Supplies – We Made This
“Hoxton Street Monster Supplies is the fantastical shopfront for the Ministry of Stories, a pioneering children’s writing workshop. We helped to set up the project, designed the identity for the shop, as well as the products sold there, and also worked on much of the copywriting.”
Unholy Wine Collection – Daniel Brokstad
This is a self initiated project from Danish designer Daniel Brokstad. “Possession is a limited edition unholy wine collection, featuring “Evil Demon – Bloody Shiraz”, “Haunting Ghost – Spooky Cabernet” and “Old Witch – Cursed Pinor Noir”. All the wines comes in a solid coffin shaped glossy casing, which adds to the exclusiveness of the wine series.”
