The Association of Illustrators was established in 1973 as a body to promote, inform and advise freelance illustrators in their careers. Every year the AOI hold their high profile Illustration Awards showing exceptional illustration across a number of different categories. There are two awards given for each category, a Professional Award for those already working in the industry, and a New Talent Award which can help bring emerging illustrators into the limelight.
